UPDATE: Uralkali RAS net profit falls 38% to 40.8 bln rbl in 2017

MOSCOW, Mar 14 (PRIME) -- The net profit of Russian fertilizer producer Uralkali fell about 37.5% on the year to 40.787 billion rubles in 2017, as calculated under Russian Accounting Standards (RAS), the company said in a report on Wednesday.

Revenue of the company rose 3.3% on the year to 135.7 billion rubles in 2017.

Gross profit went up 0.2% to 98.3 billion rubles, but the sales profit fell 3.8% to 62.7 billion rubles.

The cost of sales went up 12.3% to 37.4 billion rubles. Administrative costs shrank 10% to 8.4 billion rubles, but selling costs grew 15.7% to 27.1 billion rubles. Other expenses contracted about 37.5% to 18.9 billion rubles.

Long-term liabilities decreased 18.6% in the year to 289.35 billion rubles as of the end of 2017, while short-term liabilities increased 21.9% to 130.91 billion rubles.
